Bridgeport Ranger Station

 

The Bridgeport Ranger District headquarters and ESIA bookstore is located on U.S. Highway 395, just south of Bridgeport, California.

The station is open year-round, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. In summer months, it's also open weekends. Bus parking is available. Call ahead: 760.932.7070


Carson City Ranger Station

 

The center is open year-round, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. In summer months, it's also open weekends. Call ahead: 775.882.2766

Visitors to the region will want to stop by the ranger station/bookstore for advice and information about the area, provided by knowledgeable staff and a wide selection of books, maps and brochures. Other products, including shirts, hats and U.S. Forest Service 'Smokey Bear' items are also available for sale.

 

 


Tonopah Ranger Station

Humboldt-Toiyabe

 

The Humboldt-Toiyabe's spectacular 6.3 million acres makes it the largest national forest in the lower 48 states. Located in Nevada and a small portion of eastern California, the Forest offers year-round recreation of all types.

The Sparks location is located in the front lobby of the supervisors office of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest.

Truckee Ranger Station

 

The Truckee Ranger District headquarters and ESIA bookstore is located off U.S. Highway 80 in the historic mining town of Truckee California.

Mammoth Lakes Welcome Center

 

The Mammoth Lakes Welcome Center is located one mile (1.6 km) off U.S. Highway 395 on State Route 203, at the entrance to the town of Mammoth Lakes, California.

The center is open year round, 7 days/week, 8am to 5pm, excluding some holidays. Bus parking is available. Call ahead: 760.924-5500  


Mono Basin Scenic Area Visitor Center

 

The Mono Basin Scenic Area Visitor Center and ESIA Discovery Store is located 1/2 mile (.8 km) north of Lee Vining, California, on U.S. Highway 395, a few miles east of the Tioga Pass entrance into Yosemite National Park (road to entrance is closed in winter).The center is open from April to December, with seasonal variations in days and hours of operation. White Mountain Ranger Station

 

The White Mountain Ranger District headquarters and ESIA bookstore is located at the north end of downtown Bishop, California, at the intersection of Highway 395 and East Yaney Street. 

The center is open year-round, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm (closed for lunch in the off season of winter). Call ahead: 760.873-2500


Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest Visitor Center

 

The Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest Visitor Center and ESIA bookstore is open seasonally as weather and road conditions allow: mid May through October.

The entrance road is located off State Route 168 by Westgard Pass, 24 miles (38.6 km) from Big Pine, California. When open, the center's days and hours of operation are usually 7 days/week, 10am to 5pm. Call ahead: 442-228-5002 or call White Mountain Ranger Station:  760-873-2501.


Eastern Sierra Visitor Center at Lone Pine

 

The Eastern Sierra Visitor Center and ESIA bookstore is located one mile (1.6 km) south of Lone Pine, California, at the junction of U.S. Highway 395 and State Route 136.

The center is open year-round, 7 days/week, excluding some holidays. The center is open 8am to 5pm May through October, and 8am to 5pm November through April. Bus parking is available. Call ahead: 760.876-6222
